September 29th 2022
It’s the end of September; we’re only 3 weeks deep into Bake Off, Strictly has barely begun, yet summer feels like a (very) distant memory.
Is it just because we are all stubbornly refusing to put the heating on?
Well there’s that. But for us here at Communicate-ed it’s also because we’ve had a busy couple of months. Since the JCQ AARA regulations for 2022/23 were released in the middle of August, we have worked hard updating all our courses and trained over 4,000 delegates on the new regulations!
We started training in August, delivering our free Introduction to the Changes webinar with our friends at PATOSS, and releasing our full online pre-recorded courses.
We enjoyed getting back on the road this month for some face-to-face training in Manchester and London, followed by our second virtual Communicate-ed Conference, which was a great day full of activity and online interaction with our delegates. Our course tutors and experts were able to answer over 200 questions from individuals through the Q&As they held at these courses, something we know that our delegates really appreciate.
Since 2002, we’ve made it our mission to equip and support SEN professionals to do difficult jobs well. We do this year-round through our online courses, membership and webinars, but updating and refreshing knowledge of the JCQ regulations on Access Arrangements each autumn is often what our delegates remember us for, and we love this point of contact each year.
But don’t go thinking we will be kicking back and signing off for the term any time soon. Our online access arrangements courses will be available all year, plus we’re delivering full-day courses on access arrangements for those new to the role in November (live webinar or North Yorks) and January (Manchester).
If you’re one of the 4,000 delegates we’ve trained this autumn, thank you - we look forward to seeing you again soon!
